Godshill Parish Council will hold the information provided by yourselves specifically to handle your enquiries or to update you with relevant information that we feel maybe of interest, you can request removal from the list at any time

Where data will be held
Godshill Parish Council will hold personal data (information on living individuals), but the information will not be of a sensitive nature.  However, it will show title, name, address, and contact details and also job position if applicable

How data is held
Data is held securely, both electronically and in hard copy (paper form).  Adequate virus protection and firewalls are in place and access is password protected.  Paper files are securely shredded after 6 years

Your personal or company details are only accessible to persons at Godshill Parish Council involved in the management of any enquiry.

That your personal or company information will not be passed or sold to any third party for any purpose at all, including mail shots or e-mail solicitation.

Where we occasionally contact you to advise you of information that we believe may be of interest to you, based on your original enquiry or request, you will have the opportunity to unsubscribe from our mail lists and we guarantee to remove your details.

Under the Data Protection Act you have right of access to any information Godshill Parish Council may hold about you.

How long will data be held
Personal data will be held for 6 years after the last dealing with a data subject.  Files that are no longer in use are archived, but may be deleted at your request where possible. 

With whom data is shared
Your information will only be made available to persons outside of Godshill Parish Council where we are under a legal obligation to do so (i.e. Police, Courts, Tax Authorities, Government bodies)
